Question about hair style

Is there any significance or meaning to a hair style that has a single curl of hair outside of a perfect bun. It hangs over her right eye. Not sure why I'm even posting in NB. Just figured I'd ask the smartest people I know before I do or say something really stupid about it.

Interesting.

From google-Cultural Symbolism: In some South Asian beauty traditions, a single curl resting on the temple has been worn to mimic the traditional 'third eye' or for protection against the evil eye.

You see a lot of face framing curls/tendrils w bun styles today. Single or both sides. I don’t find any "meaning" to them other than preference.

What are you being told they mean?

Thanks for the reply, and googling it for me. I didn't ask anyone or have been told anything. Was just wondering if there was some meaning or significance to it. Wouldn't be the first time I'm out of the loop. I've seen the framing curls and they are cute, tendrils sound very dangerous. I guess it's just her preference and it certainly works for her.
I've had thoughts of cutting it off so she wouldn't have to wipe it out of the way when I talk to her. Don't worry, I would never do that.
Thanks!
